Been coming here since I was a kid all the way from stoke on Trent. and to stay nearby too, never get tired of seeing and visiting this beautiful place!! Recently visited with my partner and 2 friends who have never been before and they loved it here! We watched slate splitting and visited the houses, watermill, and all round the place! Fun, educational, absolutely beautiful! Staff are friendly, the gift shop is a MUST! Stunning souvenirs and trinkets, 10000/10!!!x

Amazing museum, well worth going round. The miners houses brought back memories of 50s-60s childhoods. Will be back next summer.
A very interesting museum. I can't believe that there is so much to see and it is all free. Young children may not find it very good as there is a lot of information to read. My Godson went here years ago when he was an hyperactive child and enjoyed it much more as an adult.All the staff that we met were extremely helpful and pleasant and seemed to enjoy their jobs.The four of us left donations as we were very impressed.
