We went the last week of August with our children. After reading other posts I was a bit dubious about going. It was absolutely amazing and we will definitely go back. We were in field 3 and it was amazing. The views were beautiful, there is a little river with a small waterfall behind the trees which our youngest son loved playing in. The toilets, showers and entire park was spotlessly clean. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Our youngest son loved playing with all the other children in the play areas. The only problem we had was our 12yr suffered with lack of Wi-Fi I would definitely recommend staying here
A great campsite with beautiful surroundings at the foot of Snowdonia and its very own stream running past. The toilet and shower facilities were adequate although the floors of these facilities become muddy very quickly and cannot be cleaned easily by campers without getting the mop and bucket out. In summary this is an ideal site for campers but for those requiring top facilities may be a little disappointed.
Lovely site. The views are amazing and it's lovely for the kids to play in the river. Field we were camping on wasn't busy and toilets were busy as only 2 Sheppard's huts with 5 toilets. When people are using the showers 3 of the toilets can't be used as it's a toilet/shower room. I would want to see how busy they are when field is full. However toilets/showers are lovely and kept clean frequently
I stayed at a family members seasonal pitch caravan for the weekend. Children were playing football outside the caravan from 8am and didn't seem to stop until after 11:30pm, been here a few times now and children running around until after 11 seems normal. Not the peaceful weekend I was after. Some of the other fields seemed quieter maybe the caravan is just on the wrong pitch for what we were after. For that reason they won't be renewing the pitch for next year. However can't fault the views and the scenery as it's situated in a very nice part of Wales.
Have just come back (July 2018) and can say the campsite is in a great location for walking or going to the lake for water activities. The park itself is well maintained and the staff were all friendly/ helpful and professional. The reason I haven't given the park a 5 star is due to the lack of shower/toilet facilities in field 3 and the 'dodgy' locks on the toilet doors which made them really difficult to lock when closed. The only other thing which could do with modernisation is the games room as it's very small and basic.
