Nice little place good tour and gift shop
We were advised to go here at a local hotel. So off we went. Great tour around the works with some really interactive bits and bobs to do. The cafe staff were absolutely fantastic as our car battery died and they went out of their way to get us going again. Wonderfully helpful with a free tea thrown in for good measure. The food here was also wonderful and cooked to order. The chicken looked fab and the cakes were to die for. Overall a real Jewell in the crown for Wales. If you are in this area pass and this by you will really miss out on a great day. The gift shop is great as well and really quite reasonable. My visa card got a hammering. My eternal gratitued will go out though to the owner of the cafe who could not do enough to help us out. My sympathies must also go out to him as my wife snogged him for helping us out so much.
Very interesting place to visit, has a good shop with lovely gifts different to the norm.Cafe worth a visit on its own if your passing ! We went in just as a mini bus full of old people were going in for their morning coffee, the cafe staff really put themselves out to make up for the inconvenience. Very happy and friendly with good food
Had a great time visiting them today film and headset tour about the history of slat mining to the wonderful things that they make there. Even had a go myself at calving my name into a slat block, don't think they'll offer me a job though , got to take it home as a momento. Staff very helpful well worth a trip
