I had my 40th Birthday surprise here in this Beautiful part of North Wales I had 1 flying lesson here which was absolutely fantastic.i had the choice to fly around Snowdon or fly up the Menai straits I chose the latter my instructor was top class and was from Congleton he made me at ease with the Airplane which was a Cessna and as soon as we got clearance from RAF Valley we were up it was a gorgeous day very little cloud and Sunny my 2 boys stayed on the ground and visited the museum. The pilot let me take over the controls about 10 mins into the flight and as a twitcher of aircraft found the controls easy to handle ie pitch yaw trim ect. As I was up around 5000 ft we hung back a bit to let some RAF Hawk jets go by the whole day was like I was in a dream plus I would of liked to be in a Spitfire well a man can dream, at the end of the lesson I was given a certificate of half an hour flying time. The whole day was brilliant and can recommend it to all.

Good little museum to keep the kids entertained for an hour, not very big, it's part of the airport so lots of microlites, planes and helicopters taking off and landing, which was also good
Easy to get to and relatively cheap, you do need 2 people for the flight to go but it's was so easy to book.
Great place to watch small planes and helicopters. Lovely cafe right by the runway meaning you can enjoy a coffee while watching planes take off. Also home to the air ambulance and coastguard which are great to watch taking off and landing.
